Environmental Disasters is part of the Disasters Up Close series. It explores disasters such as the 1986 explosion at the Chernobyl nuclear power plant in the Ukrainea tragic event that spewed radioactive dust throughout the country, contaminating land and farm crops and exposing countless people to dangerous levels of radiation.
